1) What are some new things that you learned about Jesus from your own group presentation?
Just from creating these presentations in class I learned many things that I actually didn't know.  Over the years of religion classes I briefly learned about the beatitudes.  This presentation gave me a chance to learn about our story and the meaning of it in a more in depth way.  From our presentation I mainly learned the about each of the beatitudes and what they mean.   I also learned about the different ways the church and history viewed the story.  It also taught me about how the Sermon on the Mount had great importance in the church.  And most importantly I learned the overall story, which I did not know before.

2) What are some new things that you learned about Jesus from your classmates’ group presentations?
I learned so much I didn't know from each of my classmates' presentations. I knew about some of the stories, but I also didn't know about others. Some of the stories I did know were The Three Wise Men and the Star and Wine at Cana and the Loaves and Fishes. Some stories I didn't know were The Site of Calvary and The Shroud of Turin. From each and every one of these presentations I learned the story, the importance in the church, and how the church and history view each story. I felt like I took something out of every presentation.

3) Which topic related to Jesus’ life did you find to be most fascinating and why?
The topic I found most fascinating was Pontius Pilate. Pontius Pilate is an iconic story in the Bible that everyone knows. I found it interesting because even though I've heard it so many times it still surprises every time. Even though crucifying people for no reason doesn't happen much these days they're are other unnesasary acts of violence that happen everyday to innocent people like Jesus. Jesus did not deserve to die just like many innocent people in dangerous areas. Jesus was picked to die over the worst criminal at the time which makes no sense to me.

4)  After reflecting on Jesus’ characteristics in the last unit and the events related to his life in this unit, who are two people in your life who display similar qualities as Jesus and why?
Two people that similar qualities to Jesus in my life are my mom and dad.  My parents, first of all, love me unconditionally.  Jesus felt the same way about all his people, his disciples, his family, and God.  My parents also always put me first.  Jesus served others and put them first his whole life.  Another thing is that my parents will always forgive me no matter what.  Jesus forgave everyone for what they did no matter how terrible it was.  He forgave Peter and Judith who betrayed him and he forgave Pontius Pilate for killing him.
