What specific things did you learn from your group's parable?
From our parable I learned about the deeper meaning about our story. I learned the point they were trying to get across. And interpreting this into modern day scenarios. For example, in our parable, I understood that family will always be there for you. It doesn't matter if they are biological or not. It matters that they love you and are trustworthy.
What specific things did you learn from the parables that were presented by the other groups?
From the other groups I learned that each story was completely different, but they all had one thing in common. That thing is, they are trying to teach us something. Each story taught a lesson. They all had morals they were trying to tell us. I learned a new lesson from each story. And each of them were impactful.
Which moral/lesson impacted you the most and why?
The Rich Man and Lazarus impacted me the most. This had the most impact on me because the moral that I took out of it is, being humble will always pay off. In the story, even though Lazarus didn't have much on earth he rewarded in heaven. On the other hand, the rich man wouldn't even give a poor man some food was later punished by going to hell. That is why it is always important to treat people well and be kind. Staying humble will pay off.
What do you think it would be like if Jesus were in our society today?
If Jesus was in our society today, I think he could be someone who opens peoples eyes. Many people today are blind sighted by society and I think Jesus could change that. Jesus is always focused on pleasing God, not society. I think a lot of people need to learn from that, and Jesus would be great to teach people that. I think the world will be completely different with Jesus. And the people will too.
