Blog #8- Suffering

  1. In what ways did the people you learned about during this unit suffer? What was their reaction to their suffering?
Each person we learned about suffered somehow. Many suffered both physically and emotionally. Many apostles suffered physically just for preaching the word of God. They experienced things like being stone and just overall beaten. They were also emotionally suffering. They experienced people everyday that looked down on then for preaching and believing in Jesus.
  2. Which story from the Acts of the Apostles did you find most inspiring and why?
The story I found most inspiring was In Corinth. God came to Paul in a dream telling him to preach what he believes in no matter what kind of response he receives. Paul listens to God and keeps preaching even if it resulted in both emotional and physical suffering. The moral I took out of this story was to never give up. Even if the task seems impossible never give up until you reach it. Another moral I took out of this story is to preach what you believe in, it doesn't matter if people agree with you or not.

  3. How have you experienced challenges in your own life and how have you dealt with them?
In my life I have experience many challenges. Some were big and others were small. Through each problem I made sure I knew I would get past it. I don't always handle my problems in the best ways, but I try. Most importantly I learn from each of these challenges. These challenges have made me who I am today.

  4. Who are people that you can turn to in times of need and why?
There are many people I feel like I can turn to. The first people I turn to are usually my parents. My parents help me with most of my problems. Other people that help me are my friends. They understand what I go through and try to help me and watch out for me. They always have my back.
