Blog #9- Resilience
- Could you ever see yourself sharing similar messages that your Letter Writer did? Why or why not? How would you share them?I do see my self sharing similar messages that the letter writers did. I see myself similar spreading because while I am easygoing I also have strong opinions that I like to share with others, just like the letter writers did. I like to share my knowledge with others. That is why I would share my messages by talking to my friends and people I know. I would also spread my message through social media. This allows me to reach more people as well.
- What were some new things that you learned from the Marian apparition projects presented in class (be specific)?I learned a lot that I didn't know from the Marian apparition projects. First off, I learned who Our Lady of Fatima. Lourdes, and Knock are. Before I was only familiar with Our Lady of Guadalupe. I learned all about who each of these people came to, where they went, their message, and their impact. They all went to different places spreading similar, yet different messages. They were also all Mary.
- How did you see resilience at work within the Marian apparition that you researched?Resilience is the ability to bounce back from something hard. I saw a lot of resilience from each woman. Each of them had to go through most people not believing they were Mary. Most people probably thought the people she appeared to were crazy, but that didn't stop them. They still kept going, spreading what they believe in. This is a necessary quality for these people.
- Do you see yourself as being resilient? Why or why not?I do think I am resilient. I believe this because I don't give up and not a lot of bad things have an effect on me for the worse. I use every bad experience to learn and then I put it behind me. This helps me to never give up. When I do give up, I always regret it. Thats why I feel like resilience is a significant trait in my personality. This is Our Lady of Fatima who I researched for my Marian Apparition project.“Our Lady of Fatima Prayer Card.” Aquinas and More Catholic Goods, www.aquinasandmore.com/catholic-gifts/our-lady-of-fatima-prayer-card/sku/13053.
